To really address the problem correctly, one needs to know EXACTLY what codes (BOTH P-code & BMW FC) are saved in DME memory. The primary inputs that affect cam timing are RPM, Load & ECTS signal, so if cam timing (as opposed to adaption value) is NOT changing, there SHOULD be error codes saved in the DME that help identify the problem. Click to expand.I'm NOT familiar with the INPA menu items for the N46 DME, but for my N52KP MSV80 DME, the best way to see real-time values & bar graphs for the VANOS system is "Gebersignale VANOS" or VANOS Encoder Signals: DME | F5 | F4, or Status | VANOS.
